Where can I get my pistol hard chromed?

What type of chrome level are you looking for? They're usually graded 1-4, based on the cosmetics.


My friend works at a chrome shop, chrome-plating something with intricate details is a pain in the arse.
 
well I'm unfamiliar with chrome levels except that for firearms the chrome level is described as industrial level, and how shiny it is depends on how the base metal is treated; it can be mirror-polished, brushed or a flat matte appearance. I"m looking for a flat matte appearence.

Is anyone able to recommend a local plating shop that will work on firearms?

For matte, bead blast the parts you want chromed. Check for industrial finishing chromers, and be specific about the thickness of the chrome. You can go too thick and will have issues with fit. - dan
 
Here's a G19 I had chromed by RK. Sold it. Not my thing.
