Where can i shoot my sks rifle?

Is there any calibre restrictions or discharge bylaws?

Do you have an appropriate backstop?

Are your neighbours gonna flip out and call the cops?

All depends on your answers to these questions. ;)

would the cops be able to do anything other then tell me to stop shooting if they did get called?

is a large dirt hill/berm good for a back stop? i live on a hill, and have access to another 50acres near otterville with large number of hills as well.

k thanks guys, i might just go to the 50 acres i own near otterville, much more remote and we've done skeet shooting there several times, so im assuming its ok, sks is load but not much louder than a .12 gauge

where i am in mount elgin everything echos quite abit lol

SKS not restricted, shoot it anywhere it is legal to do so. If there are no local ordinances against firearms discharge on your 50 acre parcel of land go for it. Be sure U have a good safe backstop, do not be drinking or have alcohol in view. Call the local popo and tell em you are going to be shooting and where, so if a neighbor freeks out (Oh my God GUNSHOTS) and calls the police they have a heads up if they respond to a call. That way the cops will not have an adrenaline rush, high blood pressure, and a fight or flight response, believe me they will appreciate it and will respond to U in kind.

I have one neighbour who shoots all the time but in 5 years I haven't figured out where he actually is doing the shooting. The guys on the other side of me shoot lots also but I have figured them out. So if I ever do any shooting I know they could care friggen less if I do. My other neighbour is so deaf you could shoot in his back yard and he would never hear it.
