just curious to see the pricing of the Toz to compare against the Winchester Wildcat. the Toz is only mildly inferior (stock wise) and should have the same shooting/accuracy capability as the Wildcat, for half the price, from what I've read.

There is a company baikalcanada in Toronto, they have some toz stuff as well,
i just called them day ago and they have at least TOZ-78, TOZ-99 and TOZ-122. I'm going to buy TOZ-78 myself. It is very good for the money. Other stuff need to see first, you can get very bad one - this is a feedback from lots of Russian forums. But, maybe, for an export visions the quality is better. Generally speaking, TOZ-122 in .308 is not kind of ready to use out of the box, but if you got good barrel you can make descent rifle out of it.

thank you for that reference Stue! they have a website as well, tho it does not list Toz in their products, it does provide an email address, which I just sent a message to inquiring about the Toz 78. :)

website: baikalcanada.com

there are several versions
The (L) suffix means luxury version and 05/06 are with heavier barrel ...
Export versions should be with all English on a receiver. So just ask them what exact models they have. I'll find out myself soon, I'm going to pay them a visit anyway...

here's the link to the English translation of that site:
http://www.tulatoz.ru/en/toz78.html

would someone care to explain to me what purpose choke extensions serve on a rifle, as described at the end of the the paragraph description? or wait, perhaps I know...flash suppressors? sound suppressors (of course, prohib here) or muzzle breaks?
I think it is translation problem, i would translate it "... thread, which allows to use additional muzzle devices". I saw one photo with silencer (sound suppressor), it is legal to use at range in Estonia, for example.

I emailed then last year to see if they had any TOZ-99 parts (have needed a replacement sear for awhile), and received a one word reply, NO. So I seriously doubt that they have anything else but the 78.

Ya gotta love the one word response of "No" when you are looking for a hard to find part!
I hope you sent them another email asking the obvious...Do you know where I can find the part?
