Noob question but where in Canada are you allowed to shoot firearms.

There's gun ranges but theres not many here in canada.

Can you shoot on your own property?

Thanks!

Yes, depending on your towns by-laws. Generally you need to be living in a rural area. You can only shoot Non-restricted at home, Restricted stuff you need to go to a range.

Depends which province you live in. I believe in Quebec you are not allowed to target shoot on private property. Every other province you're good to go, as long as their are no town bylaws in effect.

From a safety standpoint, makesure you have an excellant backstop, and your bullet cannot leave your property.

I believe the best place to shoot in Ontario is downtown Toronto....There are people shooting there most days. I believe you don't even need a Pal or registration for your guns...:D

Sigh...newbies...

If you aren't a troll (pardon my cynicism, but it seems like we are infested this weekend) check you CFSC book, check with your provincial ministry of environment, and check with your country/district/municipality to be sure on discharge laws in your area. Providing your area, what you are shooting with, etc would also help.

this should have been discussed when you took your PAL. Asking on this forum tells me that you probably dont have one.
