Where could a guy pick up a HK MR223A1

Wolverine would be a good start, but you need to call and ask specifically for the A1, as some stores still have the older ones in stock.

i just realized that your in Alberta....TSE has them, but again..call to confirm the A1 version is in stock

I thought the "A1" was only for the US made MR556. The MR223 still has the proprietary holes.

nope... they just came out...pin placement is the same as any standard AR and they are MR223A1"s still made in Germany. I wouldn't have believed it if i didn't see one with my own eyes.

Rumor is shorter barrels and upper kits down the road...that was from the same source that told me the MR223A1 would come in to Canada from Germany....

Never thought that I'd see this!!!!

Ive never handled a piston AR before. How do they feel incomparison to rifles with midlength gas when it comes to "smoothness"

MR223 has always been on my "to buy" list but i hated how the pins didnt match.. (not like id every split them up anyways)

muzzle heavy with less felt recoil.

A lot of piston guns have more recoil...

But the 416/MR series is probably the smoothest shooting piston AR I've shot.
