The longer you are in the game, the more equipment you will acquire. The quality of your gear will likely increase as well over time. I use an RCBS Rockchucker, a manual RCBS scale, and several different brands of dies, mostly RCBS and Lee. I load about a dozen different cartridges. While it's great that reloading allows you to build ammo for less than the cost of factory stuff, that is not its major appeal to me. It might be different if I shot a zillion rounds a year, but I don't. Obviously, I couldn't come close to producing 300 or even 100 rounds per hour. I enjoy the process of reloading, including all of the brass prep. I take my time, get a lot of satifaction from the results, and enjoy hunting and target shooting with the ammunition I end up with. My advice would be to get started with the basics, and add accessories as you need, want, or can afford them. Unless you feel you have to produce 300 rounds per hour to make it worthwhile, it definitely is not going to cost $1500 - $2000 to get started.
