I'm looking to buy .44 mag handgun bullets and .223 rifle bullets for reloading. Just curious where you reloaders get your bullets and supplies. Marstar just got some stock in, so I can get .44 from them. $73 for 500 bullets. Good price?

You haven't said what the bullets will be used for. I get my .44s, hard cast 325 gr WFNs from MT Chambers, but Ben can set you up with a broad range of weights and styles. My bullets of choice for a .22 centerfire was pretty much limited to Sierra MKs for all applications, although TSXs are the right choice if you intend to shoot big game with a mouse gun.

At home, on Vancouver Island, I get all my rifle & handgun cast bullet supplies from a guy in Duncan. Quality, price, variety and availability are all good. If you're interested, send me a PM and I'll give you his contact info and you can get hold of him and judge for yourself.

For jacketed bullets, I usually stock up at P&d and/or WSS whenever I'm in the Edmonton area, which is where I am at the moment:D.

So you are the guy buying all my bullets haha :D

Actually, for a change, most of my bullet/component stock is where I'd like it, at plentiful;). However, after considerable input and discussion, I'm changing over to Barnes TTSX in primarily three calibers. I stopped in at the fore mentioned outlets and picked up 'some' and undoubtedly before I head home, I'll find the need for 'somemore':D.

These days I buy my bullets wherever I can get them. A bit of online, email checking; a phonecall and their on their way. The savings in provincial tax pays the shipping, and skipping the local driving saves more money and time. I'll buy locally, which usually means WSS.
It's surprisingly easy to buy out a gunstore when you know exactly what you want, after that you have to look farther afield. Specialty bullets are especially bad, nobody stocks a lot of something that doesn't sell everyday. If it sells everyday, that shelf is empty.:(

Where

The last big batch of bullets I got came from Higginsons when I bought a load of powder and primers. At the time they had those Hornady varmint v max packs of 250 bullets, bought them in 40 and 50gr and many of them. FS

I just want to reload .44 mag for my Desert Eagle and Taurus revolver. Shooting 25 yards. Also .223 for up to 300 yards. I have the 'A,B,C s of reloading' on the way from Amazon. Wanted to get some bullets on the way too, since Marstar just got some in stock.

Looking at getting the .44mag 245 grs

i just go with the flow.

whichever is the cheapest (inexpensive that is, I don't buy crap)

Usually at Russell's Sports here in Calgary, but sometimes WSS. I like Russell's better as they keep their bullets on the shelvers rather than behind the counter.

So I bought 500 .44 mag 245grs from Marstar. Need to find some powder, primer and brass. I'm thinking brass would be the harder to find. Gonna have to find some American companies who can ship north.

Hornady at Higginson Powders. Gotta love those bulk bullets. There's a couple of users here who sell them, too.

Campro at the CTVSP or CTM/CRAFM. MUCH better quality and accuracy than those off-shore Frontier junk.

Speer at Dante's.

Higginson did have some .44M Hornady brass, but he might be out by now. Double Tap (above sponsor) sells Star-Line brass which is one of the best around. Andrew and Tom at Higgy's can also ship the powder and primers if you are willing to pay the Hazmat fees (or buy a large quantity).

21.5gr of H110 for both the round gun and the Desert Chicken works good with that weight bullet. Might have to adjust a bit for your particular gun.

MEDICSTIMPY;
Come on Keith, do I detect sour grapes here ??
You like Frontier when you were buying them at a discount, how come the change of heart ??

It is interesting to note that you were quick enough to use us as a refference after you quit (without notice), despite which we gave you a positive referral....
