Where do you hunt? (Montreal and Newbie Edition)

I'm just starting in hunting, I've merly been practicing on some clay pigeons and I am still waiting for my PAL in the mail...

Nevertheless I have a strong desire to take up hunting. I plan on hunting maintly small game especially Hare (we have a familly tradition of cooking it, but oddly enough no one is actually hunting it...) miratory birds and maybe eventually deer.

My question is twofold:

First, to you Montreal area (broad use) hunter, where do you go? maybe you know a good ZEC, or some crown land that is not too expensive and not too far from downtown (less than 2 hours is close and more than 3 hours is kind of far..)?

Second, any advice (generally and hare hunting in particular)? and/or good books?

Hi Etienne, naturally it helps when you have friends or family that are into hunting and have access to some land. I learned much of what I know from my uncle who lives very deep into the Eastern Townships. That being said, forums like this are a huge resource of information to learn from.
Ask your friends if anyone might have a family member who lives in the country or might have a country place where you could do some small game hunting.
Regarding crown land, I hope someone here might be able to help out. I've been wondering the same question. There should be a government web site that has maps showing crown land around Montreal. I'm guessing that a 2 hour drive might be necessary.
