I am always keeping half an eye out for a 94 in one of the other calibres besides 30-30, but not much comes through the EE, or the seller wants a mint for it. Where else is a good place to be looking for a nice shooter grade 94 in .32 Win Special or 38-55?

Not that I have nothing against the 30-30, I just prefer the more unusual cartridges out there.

Thanks,
Mark

Although .32 special would not be my first choice, there is an excellent condition Model 94 in .32 special on the EE right now. It's only $325 or something. It's really nice you should check it out. Other than EE though, I would say Epps and Buyandsell. I watch dealer sites pretty regularly and I don't see as much on other sites as I do on Epps. But it only takes one I guess. Theres somebody on buyandsell right now with a bunch of old levers...one in 38.55 I think. Also a couple at Accuracy Plus in Peterborough last time I checked.

I have a very nice M94 in 38-55, but have no intention of selling it.
I equipped it with a front "Firesight" and a receiver sight on the rear.
Found it shoots the 255 grain Barnes original into about 1¼" at 100 meters.
Hard to beat that!
Bonus......I shot my 2nd largest Whitey with it 2 falls ago. Eagleye.

I have seen many 32 Special Model 94s on the EE over the last year or so. If you watch out you should certainly be able to pick one up for about $400. 38-55 would be great too, but I don't ever see them priced as low as 30-30 or 32 WS.

Kamloops gun show had one at least and I looked at the price tag and whispered...
Holy Moly.
Only a few deals that I could see.
Future son in law grabbed a decent Remington 12 guage pump.

It seems to me that .38-55's come up frequently on the exchange. Not every day, but pretty often. There are lots of other people with the same taste as you, and frankly, if you see one that's appealing you may have to jump quick.

The only 94 in .32 Special I can find is listed by Praetorian and it is listed for $625. There are also a couple of 38-55's, but in poor condition and a couple asking well over $700.

Which buyandsell city are you looking at?

I am OK with paying more for the 38-55, but not over $700. $500 for a decent shooter grade gun would be reasonable in my mind.

.32 specials come up often on the EE and on the Epps website. You will see plenty of them up for sale around October.

Apparently I will need to watch more closely. I have not been going crazy over it, maybe I will have to step up my efforts.

Are you looking for a rifle or a carbine?

Preferably a carbine, but a 24" barrelled rifle would not be a problem for me.
