Hello everybody.

This is my first post here, and so far this forum has been incredibly informative, great job to all the contributers to it!

(Hopefully this is in an appropriate section, as I know a few others that have been wondering this as well)

I have an inquiry about the availability of overcapacity magazines for 10/22 magazines in Canada.

Since picking up a 10/22 a few months ago, I have been searching for these little guys, but they are nowhere to be found anywhere. I learned that they were being snatched up in bulk because of the reality of Clinton/ Obama taking office in the states. I also noticed that many US stores are now placing restrictions on the sale of these mags to Canadians.

So all Canadian stores that I know, including the local ones such as Le Baron, Bass Pro, Williams Arms and Elwood Epps, say that they will not be getting in stock for an unknown amount of time.

Internet searches have proved fruitless, and I am beginning to wonder if there has been a piece of legislation that I missed where an ammo capacity limit was placed on rimfires?

Can sombody please inform me, whatever happened to the overcapacity .22 magazines in Canada?

I bought mine from the US a year or so ago I think.

There's no such thing as high capacity or over capacity magazines :)

If the mag was built for 500 rounds and takes 500 rounds, then it's normal capacity, but I know what you're talkin about, just razzing :p

This topic has been discussed way too many times to count, typically a new thread starts every week, do a search or check out the rimfire forum to read pages of discussions on this very topic.

By the way, it's not illegal, the US is just sold out due to the election and they have none to import our way, thats it.
