Where is a good place to get parts to "race" up a 1911?

I have a 1911 commander on the way and am looking to tune it up for IPSC.

Where do you all recommmend to get parts? Nothing expensive

Planning on building a competative IPSC gun without having to dive into STI or Kimberly territory (pricing)

Brownells..a little paperwork might be in order but they have a great selection and they know the legal way to ship to Canada...as long as you give them the papers they need..

Their prices are good,and they are great guys to deal with.They stock STI parts which are great quality.They are also IPSC shooters,so have a good insight into the game

Not sure what parts you want to get,but if you are going to use the gun for IPSC,its false economy to try this on the cheap,thus probably best to get quality from the start
