Gave up on trying to find surplus...so now looking for the cheaper new commercial stuff.
Anyone know where I can get me a few dozen boxes? All the usual suspects are out.

Sixty cents a round for 60+ year old surplus is ridiculous. Marstar is supposed to be getting a large shipment of Yugo M75 but only god knows when.

I believe Tradex has some 8mm in stock.

Thanks, those are some good leads. Budget has zero stock on their website, as does Tradex, but I will continue to monitor this post to see if anyone else found some. The only source I have found it locally it was $32 a box which is f'ng outrageous. The Prvi at a buck a round seems high too but at least I can reload it.
Surplus for cheaper would be fine, corrosive is not an issue - I am an extremely anal clean freak when it comes to firearms. My office and work room is a mess, but my collection will easily pass the sgt.majors inspection with the white glove!

Here is how to get rid of 8mm Mauser ammo supply problem.
At your local range pick up all/ every 30-06 and 270 empty brass that's left lying by once a year shooters. Cut these cases to length of 58mm. Size them through your 8mm die. Then trim clean ad reprime and reload with your favorite .323 slug. Done and done.
Happy shooting.
