Where to buy 10/22 Blot Release

Sorry if this is right in front of my face somewhere but i have been looking, where is the best place to buy an auto or a stock bolt release for a 10/22?

Unless you want to keep the factory bolt release for later use; why not just modify it yourself?

It is really easy if you have access to a Dremel. Plenty of YouTube videos showing the process

you don't even need a dremel, it takes less than 5 min with a small hobby file set.

well thats the problem i did do it myself now the bolt sticks open almost every shot. so i dont even know whats wrong its rounded just like the videos said to do it.

Do you have it installed correctly? It is possible to put it in wrong and affect its function, a PO had done that to my 10/22.

No i think its in correct but for good measure im going to take it apart and smooth it out and reinstall and see what happens

i had the same thing happen to one of the 6 i did myself, still cant see any difference between them.
and that one still wont work right.

seems to be very hit or miss when converting them.

I did one once and it also gave me trouble, found out it was the aftermarket mag release that was causing trouble once the bolt release was modified, had to file a bit off it too and was then good to go.

Now that you mention that i did notice my mag release plunger touches the holt release and i did grind it down. Mabye thats catching something now. Just stock parts now and make it normal again. Thats my fear of mods is reliability...

Nah, I modded mine, works flawless. No reliability problems.
