I was thinking of putting together a rifle from a DAR 22 receiver. There seems to be plenty of barrel and stock choices around...

Where can a guy get a bolt and trigger assembly?

I'd be happy with stock Ruger stuff if I could find it.

Do I have to buy a new ruger and strip it for parts?

Connecticut Precision Chambering, L.L.C.

I have used these guy's before, good service, great work
Look up the website.

I have a spare bolt/stock charging handle/tufferbuffer that might be for sale if you are really stuck.
Regards

Possibly Brownells, if you can get the paper work right. There's a sticky about getting them to ship up here, I've never done it, but looks like it could be done.

Sorry to hijack, but.
Anybody know where I can get a Kidd bolt in Canada?

I could also use a reciever if anybody has one, (of course there would have to be a registration transfer).

Brownell's will sell you a factory Ruger bolt assembly, and many trigger group parts (hammer, sear, pins, springs etc). I just got a bolt a couple weeks ago. The usual $100 limit applies, I imagine. I don't know if they have a complete trigger group, or if they can export one.

Last time I needed a bolt, I got it from Wham-O:rockOn:

For the trigger you should try Hornetproducts.com

Hornet Products has a note on their website to the effect that they will no longer export complete TG assemblies. They offer a "Fast Action Trigger Kit" as an alternative now for Canadian customers. Very annoying.

this is not the EE forum, read the rules newbies, now with that said and me being the #### of the morning :D :stirthepot2:

-hornet productions will ship trigger groups to canada
-Kidd products are scarse even in the US right now
-hical. ca has some beef up parts
-fabsports. ca has a few parts
-bits of pieces in delta BC has a selection of internals
-EE forum on CGN ;)
-ebay. ca search ruger 1022 (not alot but a few things)

the last time i was in jo-brooks firearms ( here in brandon, mb ) they had a pile of 10/22 kidd stuff, give travis a call @ 1-204-727-3552

Thanks for the all the replies guys. It looks like its a tough call whether or not to just start with a doner gun. No matter. They're not really that expensive (nominally anyway...)
