I want to buy an 870 for a bush/camp gun. I would like to look into a side saddle, mag extension, top folding stock, all that good stuff. But where do I look to buy these things? I'm from small town BC so there isn't much around locally. What are some good sites a guy could get this stuff from? Also, the folding stocks don't change the firearm's class right?

Check in the EE there are always some parts FS. I just sold a side saddle, and I have a +2 metal extension FS rite now.

Stay away from ATI Products, they are crap.

If you would like a nice top rail, this is what I manufacture:

not unless the barrel is under 16" or so. (because then the over all lengh will go below 26".

Depends on the grip/stock maker.

A knoxx breaches grip for example on a remmy 870 with a 14" barrel should allow for just over 26" in overall length. :D

I noticed in one of the 870 pics that the trigger plate pins were replaced with pins that tighten? Do you sell those?

Those are used to install the sidesaddle as seen on the left hand side of that receiver in that picture.

Ok, so those hold the sidesaddle and trigger group in place, and completely replace the stock trigger plate pins. Thanks for the reply.

Yah, and if you want to use the screw in pins without the side saddle simply add an extra washer on the bolt head side to make up for the extra space due to the missing side saddle plate. as the bolts are usually threaded just near the end.

Also quite a few gunsmith less shotgun mounts are mounted with the same bolt system. A neat idea, but you do have to choose between using the side saddle or the mount.

Right, thanks.

I mounted both on my 1100 project. :D

I made a new aluminum mounting plate for the sidesaddle and tapped the two holes to match the scope mount's threads. Longer cap screws came from Fastenal for a couple of dollars. Now I can mount both a red dot scope and a sidesaddle or each individually. As soon as my Duracoat arrives, I'll finish the project and post pics.
