Can someone point me in the direction of somewhere, Canadian, selling the newer 580/581 Mini 14s? Double points if they also sell the 'tactical' version with the ATI stock with folding, 6-point butt?

I understand some of the sponsors may sell them (ie, Frontier) but I was of the impression that they carried the older versions.

"...the 'tactical' version..." It'd be restricted due to the barrel length. Nobody will bother bringing in restricted rifles.
Epp's lists a swarm of new, over priced, inaccurate, SS, Ranch Mini14's. $831.85 and up. $962.44 for a Target.

May I ask why you think they are overpriced? Any cheaper sources? The Mini 14 (the new ones anyway) is as inaccurate (or better) than an AR, but they are non restricted.

What do you know that I don't?

BTW I think overpriced is one word.

Mini 14

Like the others are saying mini14 target model, its accurate and non restricted then go to Fab sports and pick your stock, then go to the outback and have fun:ar15:

I got mine from Frontier and it is the new series. It will also shoot 1.5 " groups at 100yds so rest easy and go get one. Some people just love to stir the crap. I truly don't believe there are still people stupid enough to believe Mini 14's are inaccurate. Unless of course if 1.5 inches is considered inaccurate.

the people who bash minis are usally AR lovers who are looking to justify there $2000 price tag and the only thing that they can find better about there AR is that it might shoot a 1.35" group and your mini shoots an 1.5" group.

I suppose it depends on one's expectations. In some context, 1.5 inch groups at 100m would be not accurate enough, but from a semi-automatic built to be utilitarian tough, I wouldn't call it inaccurate.
