Where to buy a Springfield 1911 Milspec or GI?

Hi guys, new to handguns and looking to get my first one.

Was interested in 1911s, and the Springfield Milspec and GI models caught my eye.

Where in Canada can we get one of these? Have not seen them in stock anywhere.

You're more likely to find one slightly used here on the ee than anywhere new these days it seems. There was a GI for sale last week, but they don't usually stay up for long.
 
I had a heck of a time finding the Springfield I wanted when I was 1911 shopping so I had to settle for another brand. They seem near impossible to find in this country.

Hopefully you fare better. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
 
I am extremely impatient.

Ordered a SAM 1911 Gov. this afternoon.

Nothing like he springfield probably, but milspec at a fraction of the price

Called Springfield and they said October 2013!!!!
 
I wanted one too, I looked everywhere and finally ordered it. It is long over due with no estimated time of arrival.

I would suggest buying a different 1911, the Springfield 1911's are damn hard to come by in Canada.

Wolverine are showing a couple nice Colts on their website. Or if you are willing to go less traditional, STI makes a very nice 1911.
