Where to buy a Thompson Center Benchmark ??

They have them on sale at Lebaron for $475.

The only other spot that I know of is SIR - www.sirmailorder.com, but they have them listed for $549, LeBaron's is much better deal, not sure what they charge for shipping.

I wonder if the Lebarons special is the old version or the new R55. I'm guessing the old version since they don't specify R55.....?

I tried the Ontario LeBaron stores and have a request in at head office to see if they have stock. So far nothing, and LeBarons will not be offering the TC semi 22 anymore.

The TC R55 is available at SIR, but it will run you $549.

Lebarons are selling the older style, not the new r-55 if that matters to anyone. I have an older classic that is dead reliable and shoots great.

Alledgedly, the newer onese (with the m1-like action, bolt pulled closed by a spring at the front) are more reliable than the older ones (bolt pushed closed by a spring, similar to the 10/22).


This seems to be my experience, from shooting an BMC and BMC-R55 side by side. The newer R55 seems less prone to fouling and light primer strikes. This is based on a sample size of 2rifles, so YMMV.
