where to buy aluminum bolt shroud?

Hey there folks.

I'm looking to lose another couple of ounces off my Remington 700 mountain SS. It looks like an aluminum bolt shroud is the next step. Any suggestions on who to order from for quick reliable service? I always fear ordering from across the line.

Give PT&G a look up, I did my 700 Ti with a aluminum firing pin speedlock kit and an aluminum bolt shroud and took another 3 oz off the rifle. Shaving ounces gets pricey though..................

I would recommend gretan. His are built to tighter tolerances, and finished considerably nicer than ptg's. On the down side, they are slightly more expensive.

Have used both and you are correct.

I have ordered quite a few directly from Greg but that was a few years ago now. Never any issues.
