There were quite a few copies made around the world, but they can't get imported.
In 97 or 98, a dealer brought a few Redim, a cheap semi copy, that got sold the same day they were put on the shelf. When the authorities discovered their own mistake (by allowing them in), they tried to recover the said guns, but I strongly believe they couldn't find them all.

No disrespect, but how do you get around the whole "AR-180B" situation then? Nomenclature alone cannot seem to be the deciding factor.
Again, define "totally different"? If the above-mentioned site allows for custom builds, what would a Canadian purchaser have to request in the way of build-differences to make the SAR 180 "totally different"? Again, this is a polite query.
member b is right unless the reciever is made different or some other major varriation it will remain prohibited. tha 7th charter of rights says no one shall be subject to different laws mearly because of there age unless there is some reason you could not safely perform the same task. So Prohibited liciencies are subject to different laws, but we can safely store and have firearms just as well as they can. Then one might say ok to make it fiar nobody get them. Well then your violating someones rights when you take there stuff. End result we all get prohibited liciences.
