Where to buy an M1 Garand in Alberta

There are still some around, but the days of the $100 M1 Garand as a general price are long gone. At a Gun Auction two weeks ago, a fairly well used Garand with a beat up, oil soaked stock went for $400.
There have been some on the Equipment Exchange of GunNutz in the past few months. They seem to run in the 600-900 dollar range.
A good bet is to place a Want to Buy thread in the EE. Keep looking at the Gun Shops and make your wants known. If they have a small bulletin board, put a small ad on it.
Go to the Gun Shows. Edmonton has several each year, and the biggie is at Calgary. Calgary at Easter is the second largest Gun Show in Canada.
Also, give Bud Haines Auction in Red Deer a call and tell them what you are looking for.
