Where can I buy Armacoat? I have tried the web address but it does not work. Any help would be great. Also, to those that have used the product, am I best to go out and buy a decent airbrust from a hobby shop.

Thanks in advance,

Armacoat info.

Hi there.

Here's the info I have.

Edmonton office: 780-429-2636
Finishing facility: 780-398-2678

I notice the link doesn't work but the phone numbers may. I have seen their booth at a gunshow in Edmonton and there stuff looks pretty slick.

Another option is Duracoat. I used it on a rifle recently and it looks really good. Can't comment on the durability yet as I haven't taken it out shooting since. With proper equipment and preparation it is very straightforward. The canadian distributer is Black Cat Coatings is in St.Albert,AB. Here's the info.

Black Cat Coatings Ltd.
10 Rayborn Cres.
St. Albert, Alberta, Canada, T8N 5C2
Toll Free 1-866-799-8822
Phone (780) 458-8822
Fax (780) 458-8745
Email

Hope this helps.

I forgot to mention. I used a cheap HPLV paint gun. It works a little quicker than an airbrush gun and you will probably get a more even finish. It does waste more however.

Any automotive touchup paintguns will probably work just as well if they have an adjustable nozzle.

We are still here, you can purchase Arma-Coat through the shooting edge or Lock and load in edmonton. Our webpage needs to be redone but we cannot set it up until are shop is revamped for the new ceramics and powder coating division for ATV applications. Sorry for the inconvenience.

i've used dura coat quite a bit. it does a really nice job,but even mixed with the exact amount of hardener it still takes 3 to 4 weeks to set to the point that it will take tough handling. great product though. i can't comment on arma coat, never used it. i would assume it's about the same?

does anyone just do it for you, can you just send the barelled action and bolt somewhere to be refinished with armacoat? and if so how much. i dont have an airbrush or paint gun, nor would i want to attempt such a thing....does it need to be stripped of old bluing first?
