Where to buy black powder around Lower Mainland?

[Gariagi]

I'm interested in getting into black powder shooting but I live in Vancouver and the guy at the gun store said they are not allowed to sell black powder in the city.

For any CGN members who live in the Lower Mainland and do black powder shooting, where do you buy your powder and supplies from?

Thanks in advance.

I know Rusty Wood Trading in Mission usually has it. The monthly HACS shows in Chilliwack is a good source too.

Thanks for the replies, everyone.

Do I have to drive out there to buy or will they ship Black Powder/Percussion Caps to me? Does it cost any extra to ship?

They'll ship... it'll cost.

I forgot about budget. I'd try Henry. He's a good ####.

It was $25 for 3f at last weeks gun show in Chwk.

Rustywood sent me 3 pounds of power for 44$ shipping(difference in powder price from there and here made it cheaper to pay shiping and powder cost if it was over 3 pounds(its 57$ a pound here)). It may not cost you that much to have it shipped. But there may have been a flat feee of 30$ or somthing.

Rusty Wood Trading is the best place in the lower mainland. Particularly if you are interested in the higher grade powders like Swiss or Goex Olde Eynsford, but he also carries plain Goex and Schuetzen brands.

For No. 11 percussion caps Italian Sporting Goods has them at $10.00 a box ( 100 ).

Reliable lists them on web site, $12.00 for #10 and $10.00 for #11.
