Where can you find these? I'd like some to compliment the 1897 trench gun. Though it would look neat. Anyone know of any suppliers on this side of the border? Looking for 12 gauge specifically. Thanks for your time!

never seen these shells before do you have pics or a link to some? i would be interested to see!;)....

When in Ont. I got some from Ellwood Epps , these are brass cases for reloading 12 gauge, usually with black powder, I don't believe you will find any loaded ammo in brass cases.

dont know if youre looking to reload... but heres a start.

A couple of months ago I saw quite a number of boxes of them at the The Shooter's Den - Sudbury, ON. 1-705-************
There appeared to be 25 in a box and various gauges. I opened a box and had a quick look at one. Impressive but I didn't buy. Magtech brand I think but ???

I'm looking to reload them. From what I've read, you have to use 10 ga wads though. Anyone know what type of primer the mag tech stuff uses and how much they are a box?

The magtech shells that I have I ordered from Buffalo Arms with no export/import trouble. They were under $30 a box - so were some that I saw at a Lethbridge gunshow a couple weeks ago.

They use large pistol primers and 11ga wads. Some other brands of brass shells use actual shotgun primers. Find a 3/4 inch punch and make your own - they should be perfect.

I use all hand tools (and a hammer) to reload. Decapper out of a Lee pistol die and a reprime on a steel plate with a fairly large deep socket inside so as not to mash the primer well. These have a semi ballon head design. For sealing the tops I found some actual waterglass (sodium silicate) at a ceramics supply place. White glue didn't stick to the brass for me. I've heard some people have good success with silicone too.

Theese shells look indeed amaaaazing...

but just a quick questions here -

1)...and how do you resize them???

2)...how many times they can be reused?

Thank you.

Uncle Den.

I learned to handload on original Dominion 12 gauge solid brass about 40 years ago.

Lemme see now as I recall it goes something like this....

Set case in Rosewood cup and knock out spent primer with sharp end of a rattail file.

Reverse case and set in nickle plated flared tube. Tap in fresh primer with a flat piece of wood.

Fill cutoff cardboard case with powder charge and dump in.

Tear up Western Producer into small bits and pack into case on top of powder charge using rosewood rod. (Pack real tight)

Dump in about 1 ounce of #4 shot.

Pack in some more newspaper.

Go shoot rabbits in the snow. (Use in dry fall conditions prior to snowfall will result in out of control brushfires caused by burning newspaper.):shotgun:

1.) Ya don't bother cuz you use them in the same gun all the time. Or if you want to you go to CH4D.com and pay about $200 for dies that need a big .50 cal press (no idea about shell holders)

2.) Probably at least a couple hundered.... I'll let you know if I ever loose any. Jsut don't let anyone step on them and you should be fine for a very long time

The guys at Buffalo Arms are really knowledgeable about what they sell and will take the time to give you all the information you will need. I have spent a good deal of time picking their brains to good result. If phone costs are an issue get Skype.

brass shells

Every once and awhile I see brass or most likely copper washed casings from Russia @ the gunshow got a couple in the cabinet. Have a trench gun and the norinco Lever shottie but they would look good going into a classy double
