Looking to get some clamshell movers for our club for our matches. Any help sourcing these would be greatly appreciated. Any comments on quality of any manufacturers or advice would be appreciated also.

What is a clamshell mover?

Frogbox rents the industrial plastic moving boxes.

What he said! They call those "max trap" - http://www.gunsteel.com/maxtrap.html

A max trap has the no shoot move away from the target then return to cover it. Typically the no shoot falls forward to expose the target then stands back up to cover it.

A clam shell starts with both targets in the horizontal position. The target stands up then the no shoot stands up in front of it.

Thank you for the lecture. Now, can you show us a weighted clam shell target?

All the movers I've seen out here have been locally built. Shipping something like that tends to be cost prohibitive. A decent fab welder would have no problem putting one together with the plans Tex provided. Although, out here in the AB you can't throw a dead cat without hitting a welding truck, and most of them are shooters. Good luck.

I've never seen weighted clam shell, as both targets start flat on the ground and are spring operated with a damper.

Max traps are weighted. When the trigger is released the weight causes the front target (no shoot) to fall forward. When the weight drops off the rod, the no shoot then stands back up.

Not a lecture - just a clarification to the best of my knowledge.

This is the MGM clam shell http://mgmtargets.com/gravity-moving/snapper-target
