Ya I hear you. Too many nice toys our there. The Tac Sport is one of my favourites in the CZ line. Nothing wrong with the Rangemaster or Les Baer either.
###y! What are your thoughts on both guns? I'm really liking the grip ergos of the 1911. So that's why I'm leaning towards the rangemaster over the tactical sport.
Like them similarly. Both very tight, Les Baer a little more so but not much after a little break in. The LB has the factory trigger job so it is better in this regard but that is an easy fix. I really like the weight and feel of the range master (mine was 45 but I understand the 9mm is a very soft shooter). Both very accurate, and should be equally reluiable. The STI is a beautiful design but the full dust cover means it is not eligible for classic division in IPSC. Other than that, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Rangemaster.
It doesn't matter to me what division it falls on. I'm not going to be all out serious about ipsc/idpa. I just want a high end 9mm that looks good in my eyes. There is also the p226 sao legion but i don't like how the p226 feels.
