hi

looking for a leather scabbard for my guide gun, i see cabela has a pretty nice looking one on their us site by triple K however it doesn't appear to be avaliable on the canadian page.

does anyone know and dealers carrying these in canada i could mail order from?

thanks

PS i cant seem to get the search function working worth a damn!

there is a tack dealer in Cloverdale bc that has some really nice ones. They will even let you bring in your rifle to test fit.I will drive past there today and get you the name and number

I ordered the Triple K from Cabelas US site approx. 6 months ago. Very happy with the quality for the price (about $60 US). At the same time I purchased a cheap($25) scabbard off E bay supposedly made by an Amish craftsman. I got what I paid for.

I bought a scabbard from these fellows about fifteen years ago. It is still going strong. It is made out of thick leather that wears very well. I use mine on horseback.

I know someone who makes them

hi looking for a leather scabbard for my guide gun,

I know a shoemaker whom makes them custom made.

All he needs is a wood cut out of your rifle, information on the type of leather you want and the general shape required. Once he has that information, he quotes you a price and if you are ok with it, it is ready in about three weeks.

If you are interested, let me know.

Regards
Robert

after pricing out a bit of the custom stuff avaliable, i am still going to look around for the tripleK and modify it for a 'backpack scabbard' the custom stuff is real nice but i am going to beat the heck out of this pack (hopefully!) and after reading some of the reviews it looks like a nice little piece

edited to add: does anyone know which is the compatable 'hood' for the tripleK lever scabbard that cabelas sells?

thanks
