I have a Mossberg 500A with the 28" barrel, and would like to purchase a 18.5" Security barrel for it. I have not been able to find anywhere online that actually has one in stock, except in the US. I would rather purchase in Canada if I can, does anyone know of any sites that have them in stock? Or who doesn't have a 6 month wait list?

Wholesale Sports has a 500 security barrel for a whopping $220... I wouldn't buy one at that price. I'd contact Mossberg Canada and go from there. I read that Frontier has 500 barrels at $129 or so, but nothing in stock right now. I see rifled slug barrels at Cabela's but that's about it.

Holy cripe, I bought the security barrel AND a whole brand new 500 28" inch barreled Mossberg 500 shotgun from there for $209 plus tax when they were clearing them out a couple years back. Unless they can do a price match for you, I would try to find it somewhere else as well.
Yeah, I saw that listing from Wholesale, no way I would pay that. Besides, I haven't found Wholesale has the best service, they seem to talk down to you.
I went to the Mossberg Store, however it doesn't look like they ship to Canada. Does Mossberg Canada have their own webpage? I also see some on the irunguns website, has anyone ordered from there?
Another option would be to buy a 18" mossberg maverick 88 whole gun, take the bbl off and sell as a complete action/stock.
I did this a while ago and the action sold within an hour of posting on the EE.

If they are a decent price on Irunguns site, buy one. There is no import fee, but you'll pay in US funds and shipping to Alberta, another shipping charge to your residence and 5% GST.
