I'm looking for non FMJ 7.62x25. I was told I can't shoot it at the range anymore. It seems all the new ammo I can find is also FMJ. Is there anything out there that will pass the magnet test?
The range in question is TheShootingEdge in Calgary. I was shooting army surplus ammo for a while - even got it ok'd early on. But now I was told that if a magnet sticks to it, I can't shoot it. I'm guessing FMJ ammo is all magnetic.

No, unless it says on the box that it's steel core or bipedal jacket then it's very likely just a normal lead core copper jacket if it's new production.
