where to buy oats

Hey all I'm trying to locate about 100lbs of oats to use as a base in bearbait mix. Unfortunately I can't find supplies of big bags anywhere in very southern ontario. I've even called farmers and grain wholesalers. I can't afford $2.50lb robin hood at no frills. Any suggestions?

Go to the local feed mill. They should be able to get you want you want.

Do you have an Agrico or Co-op farm store near you? Either one should have what you want.

Being from southern ontario you shouldnt have a problem finding a local feed store. TSC, Co-op...theres plenty around.

Feed-Rite stores in Manitoba carry oats mixed with molasses bagged in 25 kg sacks for around $9 a bag. I'm sure the feed stores in Ontario will carry something similar.

Funny you say that. My buddy's dad has horses, and the deer come right into the corral to eat the grain the horses drop They also come and eat the fresh grain that grows out of the manure pile.
