I am interested in starting to save up for a Parker-Hale M82 (Canadian C3A1) Scout rifle, but first need to know the cost for one and where I would be getting it from. Would anyone here have some ideas?

Major Sights. The M82 is the C3. The M87 is the C3A1. An original is very rare and pricey. Parker hale has been out of business since the early 90's. Most folks build clones on 1200TX actions. See the sticky at the top of this pg for what guys have done recently. It will help you in deciding what your specifications. Great project. Hope this helps. Ron

C3A1 is built on the M87 action not the M82. you should take a look at the sticky thread on C3s and C3A1s from this forum.

AHHH Thank YOU!

Thanks Frank for that correction, yet again, I must not believe EVERY thing I read online from untrustworthy sites. And that you for the info on Parker hale rifles to all. I was NOT aware of this, but this does explain why I couldn't find a site for them :D

Yuo won't find a real CF sniper's rifle. The CF does not release 'em for civilian sale. Any rifle that gets declared surplus to requirement get chopped.
"...Most folks build clones on 1200TX actions..." Same rifle as the PH Model 82.
PH quit making rifles in 1991. Navy Arms, Stateside, bought the manufacturing rights and started making copies under the Gibbs Rifle Co. name, but not M82's. Professionally bubba'd No. 4 Lee-Enfields. They quit doing that in 2004.

Also unless you are collecting or nostalgic there are far better rifles for far less money.Still, there is something kinda cool looking about the A1.
