Where to buy rifles like SKS - Old military rifles?

I just bought an SKS from Lever arms. VERY happy with it!!!

I want to know, what other rifles are out there, mainly in BC, Vancouver, can I buy that are simular to the SKS in terms of price????

You could always pick up an old Enfield .303. They seem to sell between $100 and $350 depending on shape etc. I get a kick out of them.

Agreed. I have seen refurbed 91/30s with all the goodies go for $150.

I have seen alot of nice non refurbs beening sold by westrifle "yes they cost more but if your picky or a collector it maybe be worth it" I just bought a non refurb 1955/56 off them with orginal laminate stock I'll have some pics next week

Agree with Dmitri,

SVT40 and Mossin is the next step if you want surplus fun rifle. I prefer SVT40. Mossin is a bolt action one. What do you prefer?

What you mean is you can not find dirt cheap surplus ammo? As to rifle I would go for SVT40. Fun one to shot from I have two of those. Those cost me 500 each 2 years ago. Mossin is fun and very accurate but it is bolt action.

I guess I do. Have to talk to NRC first they are the one control importation of surplus ammo to Canada. I never tried surplus ammunition. Anyone knows the rules on that.
