Where to buy scope screw?

I have stripped out a rail mounting hole in my savage 10 action. I plan on taping them to 8-40 but I need to buy track down the the larger screw.
Any idea were to get some?

How long/many/head type do you need?

Ill need 4 screws. 8-40 x 1/4, torx head, weaver / beveled, or flat head, Ill have to open the scope rail counter sink either way.

If you don't have the tap you can probably get them from the same place. Home Hardware isn't going to be any help with that! LoL

I bought a kit off Amazon but can't remember if that size was in it. I'll take a look this evening. They had 3 different ones when I ordered.
Otherwise the local gun shop that sells scopes should be able to help you.

If you have a store like Cabelas handy, they have some inexpensive Weaver two piece scope bases that come with screws for around $10.00. You could buy one and use the screws only if you were in a pinch.

I’ve got a Torx kit from Brownell’s, will check.

Update- I have 1/4 inch Torx bevelled or flat.
