It has become very hard for me to obtain used WW from my local tire store. Anyone know of a scrap yard that has good supply of used WW for a good price?

Or maybe something else other than wheel weights?

Thanks!

Go into any dollar store and buy some kids toys or crayons made in China.Seriously if you can get wheel weights don't tell them you're casting bullets .You're making fishing jigs..............Harold

you guys are funny! Thanks for the info. I'll look up some ship scrap yards.

mbogo3: yeah..... first time I asked for lead, my tire shop asked how much you need. I said, whatever you have. He asked, why you that much? At the time, I had no clue why anyone would want that much lead so I just told the truth and said cast bullets. He shrugged it off as no biggy and gives me a free 5G bucket of WW. It weighed 150lbs. I managed to extract 100lbs of lead. :) That was almost a year go.

I think I made around 5k of 9mm. I don't have much left and I want to cast 44 mag too! The more lead I can get now the better. Can never have enough.

phishroy: pm sent.

Thanks
