Could someone suggest a good internet retailer (nice service, nice price) to buy shotguns? I went to lebaron today, but dislike the sale service there. Now I want to switch to internet retailer. Thanks.

Call up Clay at Prophet River,he has great prices, and great service. He is also a forum sponsor,so he has a link to his site above the forums.

There you go, Epps and Prophet River!
I didnt gt the warm fuzzies dealing with Epps,( your dealing with an order desk ) but my item did arrive well boxed and documented and the pictures where nothing compared to the gun when it arrived, but I was happy in the end .
Spoke with Clay when I was looking for a shotgun and felt like we where buddies from school, pictures of the item I thought I was interested in where well documented as good or better than what is shown on the company web page and even those are well done and I am sure takes lots of time to set up and organize.
Tight Groups.

Just a word of wisdom: when it comes to shotguns, fit is the most important consideration. Therefore, if you are going to buy from an internet vendor, please make sure that the gun you are about to buy fits your body, i.e. LOP, stock drop, cast-off, etc... therefore, unless you have already tried a shotgun of the same model and are confident that the fit is good for you, buying from an internet vendor may not be the best idea.

Used am all, most pleased with frontierfirearms out of sasaktchewan, country service, prompt and typically has super cool stuff and will match anyones price.

prophet river is a one man show, very courteous and has great inventory but do check warranty as it is my understanding he buys out U.S. groups and resells, so warranty may be a big issue as for many of the guns he sells. he may not be an authorized dealer

I've purchased form Dantes in Montreal. Never been there but I dealt with Rudy and he was very helpful.

Last time I was in the shop a couple weeks ago, there were four people , at least, working there. Never had a warranty issue with anything I bought there that wasn't resolved by a warranty centre in Canada. :)

I'm from Montreal as well and I've bought from Lebaron and Dante and both have given me a bad service..

I've been buying online (only private's) for a while now and its great but I do plan on using MARSTAR soon they have some really good prices.

PM me if you need help.

ericling,

I suggest you go to a shop where you can handle the shotgun. Depending on where you are in Montreal, there are small shops here and there that will provide you with good service and advise.

I can also suggest Trade Ex if you're after a 2 3/4 shottie.

Dante's is great. They are no nonsense guys who get the job done and know what they are talking about.

I have a very extensive experience of dealing with them and they somtimes try to sell you what they have in stock as the best (for now).... next time, it's gonna be something else (depending on the deals they'll close).

Where to buy a shotgun

I would not suggest Ellwood Epps, Besides having a bad experience with Ellwood, I have not seen a bargain there for years. Prophet does have amazing prices.
