Where to buy Sig P226 .22LR (SigPower) Parts Incl Guide Rod & Last Rd H/O Follower?

I have a new Sig Sauer P226 conversion slide / exchange kit for .22 LR and have been looking everywhere for the SigPower stainless steel metal guide rod (to replace the cheap plastic one it comes with):

Also searching for the SigPower follower that converts my (5) plastic .22LR factory magazines to allow for last shot/round hold open:

Neither part absolutely has to be SigPower but I hear good things about both products... Sadly I suspect they may have gone out of business?

Any help locating either part (or equivalent) is very much appreciated!

Yeah, been watching that thread for a while now.

I recently purchased 4 of the new factory mags and have not used them, could return them and go with the inserts but I would prefer not to have to swap the springs and followers out of my 9mm mags every time I switch between .22 LR... And at 5 mags at $27.50 ea = $137.50 + $10 shipping that's $150 investment on top of the $300 in new 9mm factory sig mags I would have to buy for dedicated .22 LR mags in the bag that lock open.

This is where I bought my sig p226 guide rod and mag follower. And some other things.
This is a great company. And fast shipping times.

When did you buy them? I was trying to purchase from there earlier today and nothing is available... I think they may have gone out of business... Anywhere else I can buy either the stainless steel .22LR guide rod or hold open follower?

I think Sigpower / collectors - society are the same person after sigpower disappeared I believe he resurfaced as the other. Great product but I believe he failed to deliver on a lot of orders. A couple of threads on the Sig forums about it. To bad I would like some as well.

As far as I know, Sigpower isn't in business anymore.

I could make some followers similar to the Sigpower ones if there still is a demand for them, but those followers don't produce "real" slide lock. Instead, they produce a sort of artificial stoppage on the last round, with the follower stopping the slide from moving forward rather than the slide catch. You would have to treat running out of ammo like a stoppage rather than, well, running out of ammo.

Honestly I don't know the best route here...

GDdesigns I've gone back and forth with the pros and cons of your inserts... I must say they appear to be the best option by far, but the cost of having dedicated mags just for .22 LR with your inserts is just plain prohibitive...

On the other hand the metal bodies of the factory Sig 9mm are more durable to drop on concrete when practising indoors for IDPA than any plastic, resin or composite mag... how long does it take to swap them each time and is there any wear on any of the components taking them apart constantly?

I still haven't fired any of the 4 Sig .22LR mags I bought from Cabelas, and could easily return them... hmmm another big question I have is when do you think you will make a stand alone mag version of the inserts with a last round hold open? Will the composition be at least as durable as the resin factory .22 LR Sig mags? Any idea of a price point for something like that? So many considerations!

Well I never really intended to have the inserts used as dedicated .22 mags. I tried to make the swap as easy as possible so that they would be changed out as the slides are changed out to convert calibres. It probably takes less than 10 seconds to do a swap for each magazine once you know what you're doing.

If the issue is that you don't have the full metal SIG mags, I'll be coming out with inserts for the Mec-Gar and short SIG mags too in the next few weeks.

I'm not sure if I'll be proceeding with selling the standalone printed magazines until I find out the legality of it. The material I use is not as impact resistant as the material in the SIG .22 mags either, so they wouldn't be repeated drop safe.

Thanks for the info! Yeah I have 5 Sig branded 10 round metal mags... but just don't know if it's worth it to swap them each time to switch back and forth... and if wear on the retention pins occurs over time?

I think he already has a video of him swapping the 9mm follower and spring out for the insert somewhere in these threads.

The slide assembly AND 5 magazines could probably be changed out in less than 60 seconds.

This is by the far the best and only option I've seen for LRHO on the P226 .22lr.

Alright I'm sold, I'll take 5. Basically the big thing for me is to be able to replicate the IDPA training environment, which a follower that basically jams the gun when empty as apposed to activating the slide lock is not ideal. I'm going to return the 4 new factory .22LR mags I bought and try your inserts in the factory 10rd sig branded 9mm mags. I'll PM you shortly GSdesigns.

I nearly bought a bunch of the polymer factory .22 mags before I saw this thread(at nearly the same price as the factory 9mm mags). Now I can use the same mags for the .22 and 9mm kits and it comes with REAL Last Round Hold Open.

No more counting rounds... No more pulling the trigger on a dummy round(or worse, on the chamber wall) and holding it downrange for a minute pretending its a mis-fire...

This is awesome and really brings out the full potential of the P226 .22 LR kit.

Too bad SIG didn't think to do it themselves...

My factory .22LR P226 plastic mags actually cost MORE than my 9mm metal mags... Bought 5 inserts today and the factory .22 LR mags are going back to Cabelas in the morning.

I have no idea why not! It angers me tremendously. Shame on you Sig Sauer.
