What’s the best option? I read online that small crushed walnut or lizard bedding media?

Where is everyone getting theirs, and how finely crushed?

Search out a local Minor Bros agricultural store near you.
They sell bulk bags of corn cob media that is primarily used for chicken bedding. The medium kernels work best for me. In my Dillon FL2000, I can get 4-6 usage times before its toast.
Be advised that this media does create some fine dust in use so buy a container of NewFinish car wax & add it during the last stages of tumbling.

I use the Princess Auto walnut that a previous poster linked to. It is a bit dusty so I run a couple of used bounce sheets each time I use fresh media in order to remove the fine dust from it. It works very well for me.

Along with the Bounce sheets, add a couple of capfulls of NuFinish car polish(not wax). Pre-tumble the polish a few minutes before adding cases.

Thanks so much, guys! Do I need to then run the brass through a cycle of corn afterwards to remove the case lube? Or is that over kill?

I tumble to remove case lube.
Because of dust from the Princess Auto walnut grit, I just run the tumbler outside with the top off.

Your local pet store should have the lizard bedding. It's worked great for me. It always makes me smile when they ask "what kind of lizard do you have?"

Princess auto walnut is fine so it won't get stuck in the primer pocket or flash holes.

I bought the big bag at p.a. and have more than I need so if you are in my area (stratford on) we can work something out.

Lizzard bedding has no dust.
I wet tumble, load, and finally dry tumble to remove lube and keep brass looking new.
A bit excessive but works.
