I'm new to reloading and have a question about which grease groove the case should be crimped into. I'm reloading for .455 Webley MkI.
The cast bullets I'm using have two grease grooves and I've been crimping the case into the groove closest to the bullet tip. This action displaces a bit of the lube that was in the groove. Is this a problem?
There's also a slight ridge above the upper grease groove, after which the bullet decreases in diameter slightly. Should/could I crimp here? It seems as though, depending on the number/location of the grease grooves, it will be difficult to match the OAL of the standard cartridge. "Lyman's Cast Bullets" is on its way, but I thought I'd ask here as well.
