where to drill for the cheekpiece?

looked in and out of a lot of forums about the proper way the wholes for the cheekpiece should be drilled.

Do you guys sacrifice the top ioer compaartment, or drill in between?

With the drill in my hand.... it looks kinda' decisive.

You end up sacrificing the top storage compartment.
