As the title says I'm looking for an inexpensive magazine for a no 5 It's been "modified" and has a scope mounted on it so I'm not too worried about original parts just want something that'll fill the gaping hole in the gun. I paid $200 so I'd prefer not paying $75 for a mag. Just wanted to know where a person might look for this kind of items. I've seen a few what look likes new construction just wondering if I'd get an issue getting it shipped from the states.

It's interchangeable with the No.4 magazine. Be surprised if you find one for under $50. and grab it if you do. The website of Bits of Pieces out in B.C. lists new replacements manufactured by K-Mag in S.Africa but I don't think they show prices. At least that indicates it is not a problem to get them in Canada.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I looked up the place in BC and sent a Message about a price quote.

Well I'll try the EE but to be frank the prices in there always seem to be higher then at a gun store.

Thanks for teh advice on the 5 rounder for hunting. I had not thought of it that way my get one ten rounder for the range and one 5 just so I can tell myself IU'll get up north one of these times and go hunting.

I seen one or two at the Orangeville gun Show for $35.00 a few weeks ago. There are a couple vendors always there that usually have a table of Lee Enfield stuff.

As above, look at the EE and at gun shows. Not everybody wants their grandmother, two uncles and a cousin for a LE mag. :)

You paid $200 for a $500 rifle, with a scope thrown in........ and you are worried about $50 for a Magazine?

Try MAKING one.

Guaranteed cheaper.

Lee-Enfield mags are not cheap anymore. You may stumble across one for a good price if someone doesn't know what there are going for, but you might wait a while for that kind of deal.

I have a five round (stamped Santa Fe, and I think, "made in Japan") which I will sell (or trade for a ten round.) (

There is no problem with magazine capacity in the hunting regulations for this province and if I want to carry only five rounds I can fit them in a ten round magazine.
