I need a firing pin for a Walther P38.
Any suggestions as to who may stock parts for the P38?
It's my little brothers pistol and it's driving me nuts that he has a pistol that isn,t working.
He lives in the Vancouver area.
Next thing I know,he's going to vote Liberal.
I hope maybe a Milsurp guy can point me in the right direction.

Try Barry Jensen at Bits of Pieces in Delta BC. Great gunsmith and a nice guy and next door to your little brother. As for voting Liberal, in the provincial election, that is the only viable option unless you'd rather see the NDP running the BC economy into the ground. Please let us know what you find out as many folks here also have P38s in need of spare parts.

I meant voting federally.I'm in Ontario,he's in BC.
I don,t know a lot about BC politics.
Sounds just as bad as the politics in Ontario.
Thanks for the heads up on Barry Jensen.
I'll let you guys know who has P38 parts.

Is it a wartime or post-war pistol. Wartime guns have a flat firing pin while the post-war models are round. I believe that I may have a spare post-war firing pin.

I just spoke with my brother.
The pistol is a wartime bringback,so I would need the flat firing pin.
Thank you for trying to help.

I just spoke with Barry.
No luck there.
He was a super gentleman to speak with.
He had never heard of a broken firing pin in a P38 and thought it a bit odd.
He suggested I try Marstar.

tradeex has had them

Good suggestion.
I called Tradex and he has the round firing pin.
He was a very nice gentleman and took a look for me while I waited.
I also tried Collectors Source in Acton,Ontario but he doesn,t stock parts.
Maybe Numrich can ship to Canada.
I'll check them out.
They are not cheap though.

Numrich/GPC is often the ultimate source. They have everything. I toured their place in upstate New York 30+ yrs ago and found it better stocked for gun parts and accessories than any military supply depot I've ever been in. There should be no problem in ordering this part;$37.10 from their website, plus S&H, plus $35 export fee for foreign orders. I once needed a replacement sear for my uncle's P38 that he brought back from Europe and was pleased to pay whatever to get it from Numrich. If you are going to pay the $35 export fee for this one part, why not bump the order up to their $200 export limit and make it worthwhile.
