Greetings everyone,
I have recently come into possession of an old Savage 4C bolt action repeater that is in need of some TLC to get it back into shooting condition.
the most pressing need is to find the missing front sight part(s).
This particular rifle has the Savage # 100 front sight base but is missing the little sight blade insert and front sight hood. The little piece I am missing is the blade which sits in the cut running perpendicular to the barrel.
See the photo below for what a complete front sight looks like (minus the hood). The rifle in the photo si not mine, it's shamelessly stolen for the web.
If any one knows where I can locate a set of front sight blades and hood, or a correct standard blade front sight, I would greatly appreciate being pointed in the right direction.
