Hi, I bought a hi standard supermatic without regular grips. any ideas on where to look for target grips? or how much to expect to pay?

In order to purchase the grips, you will need to know what model of HS you have. The grips for the M-100 and M-101 will not be the same as the grips for the M-102, M-103, and M-104 series guns, even though they appear similar. These grips were available in brown plastic, as well as chequered wood with a thumb ramp. The M-107 series grips are a steeper angle, similar to the 1911 colt gov't.
The grips can be found at gun shows, at some gun shops, online suppliers - (Numrich Gun Parts), on-line gun and acc'y auctions, and of course - eBay. I have seen HS grips go for as little as $5.00 CDN a set at gun shows, and as high as $120.00 USD per set on eBay.
Herretts and a few specialty grip and stock makers carry specialized HS target grips, but you can expect to pay in the $200.00 to $300.00 range for a set.

thanks, I'll just have to keep my eyes open. I looked on ebay and found one set, I guess this is going to be a bit of a treasure hunt
