Where to find knock off aimpoint?

I second jackiscxd. Mine is going strong but I only mounted it on a 9mm Storm.

I'm not sure I'd trust it to something with real recoil.

dont waste your money. i bought two from him. he is a great guy but the sight is a POS. both of mine turn off at random when shooting, you have to fire to get the sight back on. kinda sucks when shooting in a match, every other shot is pretty much blind. use irons or get real optics.

hmm they just turn off at random? thats no good. Maybe I will fork out the dough for an eotech. I am also checking out that thread at ar15.com. I have an Armalite M15A4 and it had the removable carry handle with a built in rail. Should I mount the eotech or holosight on that rail, or will it be too low, and the front sight will be in the way

Jackyisd's are pretty good items. I have used them extensively (own three of them) and have only had to replace batteries. No issue with the dot and they hold zero.

Personaly I went with the russian knock off:

Its about 200$ to your door straight from Russia. Comes with an AK mount, and uses AAA batteries. Its very nice and has 9 different dot settings. But as all things designed for an AK is over-built for durability. Havent used it yet, but I am thinking maybe it will go on my SIG black special soon.

I have one of jackiscxd's aimpoint clones on an SKS and it has worked perfectly for slightly more than 400 shots. Never lost the dot and the zero didnt drift.. that is to say that the 3" groups are all still centered on the target.

Scarecrow: give us a range report on that Russin model when you get a chance. I'd be interested in installing one on an M14 project gun if it holds up.

Regards,

yeah scarecrow, I'd be interested in seeing a review of that ruskie optic you picked up. daniellybbert, how much you want for your aimpoint.

Is this the one?
