Its not too hard to find the watch batteries that they operate on. They sell them at Wal-Mart.

Depends on which scope. Russian military scopes will likely require an adapter to take civie batteries.

Looks like the battery case. Notice the + and - marks.

It's the battery case. On an AK mount it's mounted 90 degrees counterclockwise to that pic, the battery case then runs along side the receiver.

The PK-01V they sell isnt the one pictured, its mine. Simply ask to make sure when you order for the "New AAA batteri model" they will know what you mean.
