Where are all you trap and skeet shooters buying your lead shot? I'm in eastern Ontario . I called 3 different gun shops and they all say they don't carry it anymore because it's got too expensive.

Try the clubs you shoot trap at. Many of them reclaim the shot for resale

Keeping your source secret?

Nope. I went to my local trap/skeet club and talked to the fellows that happened to be there that morning , and got lucky.
One very nice gentleman had a bag of #6 shot he had no use for , and offered it to me at a great price.
I just got done loading up my first 50 rounds of .410 shotshells , made from .444 marlin brass, and hand punched wads.
The bullwinkles will be safe , but Rocky the flying squirrel best keep a low profile , come fall.

Most places you cannot use shot over #7.5 on the range due to carry distance, #6 is a perfect find for that :D.

I am also in Eastern Ontario, still have shot from when I started reloading as a teen, found so many good deals on 16ga loaded ammo that I have not had to worry about it much.

Excellent!
Did you crimp or glue them shut? I have used 303 in the past and hot glue but went back to 410 hulls.
