looked all the big name on the banner list, but i couldn't find any that i liked.
all the "OK" one are 600$+. i am looking for a full metal one, either a revolver or a Target "style" (ex ruger Mark).
ive found a Walther sp22 for 250$ but they got plastic all over. i had my eyes on a norinco woodsman for a couple of years, but cant find none in stock now.

i was wondering too; whats the problem with handgun price in canada? all semi are 300$+ and revolver 600$+.
dont tell me 2lbs or steel is worth almost 1000$...

Norinco and quality in the same sentence? Got one for sh##s and giggles, heavy on the giggles. Depends what your criteria is for quality. Buckmark and Ruger Mk series are good. Years ago I had a Vostok that did pretty good. They come with different names also. Not a cool looking wannabe something else, but solid gun for the price if you can find one. Browning Nomad or Challenger come around once in a while. High Standard with adjustable sights also come to mind. Most of those will be used of course, built when quality came before quantity. Local guy here has a nice looking Challenger for $ 400 but I'd just got my Buckmark so declined. Would have jumped on the Challenger otherwise.

If you get a Ruger spring the extra for the stainless model. The fit/finish is nicer on the SS models. This does actually make a slight difference when going through the painful process of putting one of these back together after disasembly. Plus the SS exterior is a bit nicer and harder wearing.

Prophet River has a used Beretta 87 Target for sale, if you want a top notch all metal one. It's a little over priced, but it's probably the last one around in Canada as they discontinued them last year.

do you know someplace where they have some ruger available? i searched but couldn't find anywhere.

At the boutique L'Archerot in Gatineau, 819-243-8414.

There was some Ruger Mark III Target at $435 last time I went, I bought one.

On CGN it's THE ULTIMATE HUNTINGSTORE.

Welcome to Canada. Get over it and just wade in.

If you're considering a Ruger don't walk past the Browning Buckmark or S&W 22A. Both are nice accurate shooters. At least look them over before you make your final choice.

After having tried a few rimfire revolvers I'm going to go and sound all elitist by saying that the only one worth having is the S&W 17 or K22. Or for new the S&W617.

The S&W really is that much better that it justifies the high prices that they command. I've had 4 other lesser cost revolvers and none of them even came close. And even with cost considered.
