where to get a Mosin Nagant scope mount?

Fleabay is the way to go for original or repro scope mounts. I like your idea-putting an original sniper scope on an M38 or M44 would be a cool "what if" rifle. I'm not gonna lie to you, I love M44's and have thought about doing this myself. Hope you do it, cant wait to see how it turns out!

Most likely gonna have to buy scope and mount separate, tho. I'm sure you've noticed that by now...And they aren't cheap either. Still a cool way to have a scoped, interesting rifle, IMHO.

well ya the Mount isn't that bad 150$ the scope is about the same for a real one. so ya as soon as i can get my paint ball gun sold ill get a mount.

if you get the original style scope /and mount, look into getting a sniper style bolt with long turned down handle also on ebay......instead of altering your current bolt into a short harder to use turned down version. also some info available for this project look at the nagant scope screw question in gunsmithing section.
good luck

Anybody have good or bad reviews with the rear sight replacement mounts and a EER scope on an M44? I would like to 4X scope my M44 but I don't want any permanent mods to my rifle and I love the look and view of the EER scope.

There's been a few for sale on Ebay lately.
Have you tried there?

Just to help you out....

I just got a setup like this for my Mosin. It's a 2-7x32mm EER NCstar scope with one of the rear sight replacement weaver rails. Cost me about $70 (edit; more like $85, sorry!) CAN after shipping. I haven't installed it yet though, so I can't say how well it works or how it shoots :( The scope looks good though, nice 'n clear all the way to the edges and I think it'll actually be kinda nice not having the scope 3" from your eye, especially the way M44's kick! Hoooooeeee!!!

I get my Russki stuff from St. Petersnburg. Kalinka Oprtical has a web site. They have a business "front end" in the U.S., but actual shipments come from Russia, so no border problems to deal with!
