Where to get AK style wood for VZ 58?

There was another CGN'er that can make them. Forgive my absence of memory, but his name was something like poopy or something lol, I know that's ridiculous but I can't remember exactly...

Yes it can, It's was made by somebody here, don't remember who exactly.



I also saw some people being able to install AK pistol grip on their VZ 58. But I don't know if it's custom made or they sell those somewhere :-/
 
Buttwhat was considering whether to make them for purchase or not last I heard, he's a fairly busy fellow and I believe the work he does for bfiles is a personal favour, and probably well paid too.

TravisBickles brother did a small batch but I think he was wanting another group buy with confirmed orders.

I really hate the stock VZ/CZ wood so I know the boat you guys are in all too well. Something about the shape of the stock and grip reminds me of 60's abstract woodwork, I prefer the profile of the AK stock much more, regardless of comfort.
 
If you got the cash you can have the AK wood. It's a custom job and there is some wait time. I inquired but went in a different direction. Fit/finish/quality seems first rate. PM Buttwhat and see if he has something already made or commission a job with the type of wood you want.

I found some OEM VZ wood and refinished instead. I found the woodworking to be quite relaxing (until I screwed something up and had to start over).
