Contact 45 ACPKING and see if he has any of his stocks for sale. Just as good as a Vltor from what I hear and they are available.

Not just yet, maybe weeks away, but I won't speak for him, I'll let him Chime in when he is back.

I myself am in line to get one, all I need now is a decent base Norc to put in it!!!

Is a colapsible stock not found on many other firearms? Does it make it any more "bad"?
I am shocked at Wolverine.

AR-15 are no longer leaving the US with colapsable stocks, some dealers like Brownells will still ship stock parts <$100US. They have become part of the 'controlled' items, I may be wrong, but my involvement with AR15 has taught me this.

I believe you are correct.

Infact, I don't think 45ACP's special stocks come with a buttstock... (again could be wrong, but I am fairly certain)

I just fired of an e-mail to Wolverine about this.

I wouldn't mind 45ACPacking chiming in on this, you can PM if you prefer.

My idea is to use a Magpul PRS stock & MIAD grip with this.

I asked Wolverine about it some time ago and the answer I got was no. It's not their rule, so I don't blame them for it. I'm assuming the rule would be the same for every supplier. I've seen a couple of stocks that 45 ACPKING has made up on the EE and I've been really tempted. He had one that was a USGI fiberglass that was modified to accept standard pistol grips and buttstocks, and it looked essentially like a VLTOR to me. Add on an Ultimak rail (Fabsports may have some, and I have seen them in the EE, but not recently) and I think you'd have essentially the same thing. Sorry if that was not what you where asking.

I specifically asked Wolverine if the rifle stock could be purchased minus the colapsible stock components, let's see if that opens up possibilities.

RockyMountain, did you ask for a complete stock or what I just suggested ??

you guys must be talking about this creation right here :D
yes it is a modified usgi fiberglass stock. It does indeed accept any AR15 type buttstock. Mine has a magpul PRS :D . My design encorporates the use of 7075 T6 aluminum buttstock and pistolgrip mount, borrowed from the AR receiver design. Yes, I will be a dealer on CGN very shortly. I am not taking orders at this time unless we have already spoken. I will not publicly talk about it anymore, especially pricing and such untill dealer status has been achieved. These will be custom made to order only , with the usgi stock as a base. Future plans will see an entirely new unit. These stocks have been extensivley tested and many have made it into the hands of fellow M14 owners. Dealer status is weeks away, and I'll be doing up a post will all details on this stock and my other 2 customs.
here's a sneak peak ..... as many of you have seen this already.

M14S-CQB fiberglass stock

It was quite some time ago that I asked them , about 8 months I think. Was that before the collapsible stocks became export restricted from the US? At any rate, I did not ask specifically about purchasing minus the collapsible part. The impression that I got was that this was because it was a VLTOR product, and that VLTOR will only sell stuff through dealers in Canada if they promise not to sell it to civilians. If they can sell it to you minus the collapsible part, but don't have it in stock, you might be looking at a long wait anyhow. They told me it would be 6 months to a year to get a McMillan, and did they ever get the JAE gen 2 stocks that were supposed to be available in the fall? The way I see it, the best things going for M14 stocks in Canada are the Troy MCS, and the stuff 45ACPKING makes.

I added a shotgun pistol grip / collapsible buttstock combo to my chu wood and painted it up. It looks pretty good, but still not as nice as the ones 45ACPKING makes. In retrospect, I should have done it to a USGI stock at least, but it was a good learning experience, and it's really not half bad. If I'd have known at the time that 45ACPKING was making ones similar to the VLTOR I would have got one instead of embarking on that particular project.
